Enlighten me. How is someone being harassed. albeit wrongly so, for wearing a tee shirt equate to Socialism?

Teachers in schools all over this country incorporate their politics of social justice into the everyday lives of our children, and it is just wrong, they allow for no opposing points of view, we have seen this time and time again since this president was elected, call it what you will, I will call it a march towards socialism.

He has to tell us twice in one thread how stupid and racist he really is.

They cannot help but be the idiots they are and show off their "intelligence" (or lack thereof) wherever they can.
Socialism in the schools, really? Geez, how stupid can you really be.
The racists will say anything that they can dream up to not really say how they really feel about a black president.

I see so if I dislike this president it is because I am a racist... I guess you must be a student and disciple of CRT... That's right you got me... I have a question for you????

Just how stupid are you?

Race? How in the world did you make the leap from anti-socialism to racism? If you're going to drop the race card you should have one to replace it. Here's one on me, no thanks necessary.

This reminds me of the teacher that told her students that it was a federal crime to criticise the President.

How low are the standards to get a teaching job?

Let's see. I am in my 26th year of teaching. I have the equivalent of six years of college with about a 3.9 GPA. I do continuing education courses via webinars on a regular basis, and firmly believe in the idea that education is a life long process. One thing I have learned in all that education is not to use stereotypes. i.e. to judge all teachers by some offbeat story. I've also learned that when one of my students makes an outrageous claim about say another student that I must get everyone together that was involved to get a clear picture of what really happened. In other words it is easy to jump to conclusions, but I must get my facts straight before making a judgement.

I'd really like to know at what point in time did teachers become part of the evil empire? A segment of our society is actually anti-education. For a country that ranks 17th in science and math behind Slovania that is just incredible. Some of the folks on the far right think the world was created 6,000 years ago and they refer to carbon dating as junk science. The Texas school system teaches creationism as though it were fact and on an equal plane with evolution. Rick Santorum referred to people with degrees as, "snobs". A candidate for President of the United States doesn't believe in climate change and thinks schools should be run by private corporations.
When one teacher does something stupid, they blame every teacher in the country, but when many teachers do something great, they are imply ignored.
Education is the most important product in this country and should be treated as such.
If you write on this board, even if you write things that I think are stupid, you still have a teacher to thank for making you literate.

When they decided to bring their politics into the classroom, that is not the job that they are there to do... Let's see, it seems to me that during the protests in Madison WI that teachers were taking their grade school classes down to the capital building to have the children sing protest songs... and we see examples of the bias entering our classrooms all the time... We do not pay our teachers to effect political points of view in our children, we pay them to teach language, math, and the sciences to our children, not to raise political supporters of the democratic party.

Hey Blurry hows that photography going?

Just curious cuz your seeing boogeymen in pink tee shirts. You sure your not thinking of Sheriff Joe and pink panties?

Kinda curious how you manage to see "socialism" everywhere when you don't seem to know what it is.......how is that?

Doc,
Apparently you are backing the socialist in the WH, he is one you know, just look at who all his mentors were. Please you don't like the way Blurry described what he read, tough, I agree with him. You appear to have problems not him. Oh by the way are you better off today then you were 4 years ago?

This type of behavior shows just how arrogant educators are getting and this teacher should be removed from any influence on any kids. There is NOTHING acceptable in her actions, and they are so far removed from acceptable that the School District is showing that it in fact supports her actions by not moving forward with an investigation, with or without a formal complaint. The school district is part of the problem as well and that is where some heads should roll because they are in effect condoning the teacher's actions.

Actually I have my mother to thank for making me literate, she taught me to read and write before I was 5. I was able to read and write the day I started school at St Theresa's in Kew Gardens Queens.
