One could be really stupid and let his wife convince him to totally rip out a bathroom for renovation, studs to joists, heat, electrical, plumbing. Or one could decide to fill in and extend the back yard that has been just fine for forty years.

Not today in L.A. to darn hot. I did list a 20lb box of used memory and processors on eBAY this morning and it sold in 5 minutes, with the price of gold today I got 10.50 a lb. Just back from the P.O. and it is on it's way. Better list some more junk.

A good time to do some of the things that we tend to keep putting off. We social distance and follow the rules and really there are no significant changes with our daily routine. A side benefit of retirement I guess.
We have infected relatives, but no family out of work or sick, so we are quite fortunate here in Ct.
The media continues to beat us up and we fall for it and many of us display frustrated and aggressive behavior or worse yet, we play in the Attic! LOL, it will get better!

You mean the same Texas, with only 10 deaths per 100,000 Arizona with 28 deaths per 100,0, and Florida with 19 deaths per 100,000?
The same Texas that has the 12th least deaths per 100,000 despite being the second most populated state? The same Florida that is the third most populated state yet is only 25th on the deaths per 100,000??
These states have a long way to go (most likely impossible) before they even approach the death rates of NY, NY, Conn., Mass., RI, D.C., etc.
Perhaps you’re confusing them with NY and NJ where the Cuomo/Murphy forced death marches to the long term care facilities occurred?
