Here is a somewhat random sample of the many photos I took while hiking up to Long Lake in Plumas County Ca. the other day (there where about 40 I really liked, here are a few of them). There is a fair amount of detail in the downloads. All questions, comments and suggestions are welcome. ( I took my best guess at the flower types. anyone who can correct me please do so, thanks, ditto on the butterfly names).

Hi Richard
Thanks for checking out the photos. The last shot is of Long lake which is a very pretty little lake at around the 6500ft elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Plumas County.

Hi lxu532
Thanks for checking out the photos. I also like the tiger lily shot. I actually got a lot of shots of tiger lilies. Here are a couple of others I took along the trail.

Hi Curmudgeon
Thanks for checking out the photo's. I do like sharpness in the photo's and tend to toss out those that are not fairly sharp. Great moniker by the way.

Wonderful images! The next-to-last image is of chicory....they have such beautiful blue flowers when they first bloom. Thanks for sharing.
The images are wonderful in download, and you had company at the lake too.
