'63 SS Impala, had one in high school. I have a '64 SS 327 and a '62 SS 409 now. Love that generation Impalas.

I agree, although the 64 WAS the biggest gunboat Chevrolet ever built. I'm partial to the 61 non-bubble glass, myself. Although they do need an engine transplant to be really attractive.

Obviously you've never driven an SS 409 Q-code 425hp dual quad. Most horsepower Chevy offered until the 427/435hp beast.

A very limited number of late 1961 Impala SS models got the 409/409hp option, but they are exceedingly rare.

My Dad had a blue ‘64. This is definitely a 1963 Impala.

1963. My first wife had a green 1960 Impala Convertible when I met her; I had a 1953 Morris Minor convertible with right-hand drive. Our cars fell in love at first sight. That was, in fact, in 1963.

I had a '61 Impala so I'm guessing this is around '63.

After looking at all the other responses, I'm sticking with 63.

1963 Impala SS (Supersport) This was more than just an impala. It had standard a 327 Ci engine with a 4bbl carb. Some models had the 409 CI engine . The 62 was a similar body (light grille change between 63 and 63) The rear fin on the 62 was a straight slope , while the 63 was a Vee. The 64 went to a more squared off front and rear but all shared similar bodies. 62 had a 283 engine standard with the 327 option. The 64 had a 409 option. These were some of my favorite Chevy's

I know that ‘63. My dad had one the same color and my uncle had a red one. Only thing I didn’t like was that my mother always had him get the seats covered in that vinyl. Wow I still remember how that felt in the summer getting in on a hot sunny day with shorts on. Guess I’m really showing my age.
