Welcome, Kimberly. Hint: rotate you I Phone 90 degrees to make this type of photo a landscape rather then a portrait image and you will get more detail.
There is a great uptick in I Phone users these days. That camera can do some pretty amazing thing properly manipulated.

Here's a little post processing manipulation. It's now in landscape and there is no wasted black area. Plus I resized it for more detail. I think I Phones are capable of larger pictures.
