Don't like either one of these cookies.
Never have liked them, even as kid.
OK, let the stones start flying!

I loved Hydrox cookies. Oreo's were just second rate. Better cookie, better filling. I think Hydrox is still in business, but they are almost impossible to find.

I agree; Hydrox had a better chocolate taste than Oreos. It broke my heart when the grocer said Hydrox cookies were no longer available. And weren't Hydrox cookies made by the Sunshine Bakery? Sorta makes up for a dubious sounding cookie name.

Many foods are coated with shellac to look better and resist moisture...especially cereals.

I think Hydrox cookies were Scotchgarded; took way too long to soften by dunking in milk.

You can get Hydrox here and probably many other places. https://www.amazon.com/Hydrox-Cookies-Master-Pack-6/dp/B076GSMP8T

Are they used to make hydroxychloroquine? If so Trump might like them.

There are numerous studies as well as anecdotal evidence that HCL helps with the virus. It isn’t the panacea that the President said it was...nor is it the failure that the left says it is. It is not an “unsafe unproven drug”...it’s been around for most of a hundred years to treat malaria and is approved as safe by the FDA. Most doctors actually believe in and want to cure their patients...and an unbiased review of the studies would convince you that it has benefits in cases but is not a magic bullet.

HCL has one insurmountable problem though...the President promoted it. That alone is enough for the media to turn against it and loudly trumpet only the studies that support their “settled science”...despite the fact that any actual scientist knows that the concept of settled science is ludicrous.

And no...I’m really not a big fan of the President...he does and says lots of stupid things...just like every President ever.

While many believe Hydrox cookies are an Oreo knock-off, Hydrox actually came first—in 1908, four years before the Oreo.

I loved Hydrox cookies until they changed the recipe to make them taste more like Oreo's. Bad move guys!

Up until about 1997 Oreos were NOT kosher, and hence Hydrox were the cookies of choice for devout Jews since their inception.

Maybe the "Hydrox" name let Oreo take the lead. "Hydrox" sounds like an industrial chemical.

"The only way we're gonna get rid of that corrosion is to soak it in hydrox overnight."

Why not scrub the sink with Oreo !
