Images on my iPad pro were transferred via SD card/reader instead of using sync as I do not like using cloud. So only a handful of photos are on my iPad for show.
Now I want to remove the old images and replace them with the new ones. One problem, after selecting all images to be deleted, I discovered there was no option to delete them.
I need your help
Thanks
I have the same problem with a few photos on my iPhone. I have transferred many photos from phone to Mac with Image Capture, and sometimes one or two stay on the phone while all the others are deleted after the transfer. I have never figured out the reason some are persistent. Hopefully someone knows how to do it!
Go to Photos, hit Select in upper right corner, select those to be deleted, hit trash bin in lower right corner. This is on a newer iPad Pro. Good luck.
The way to delete photos on the iPad, click the folder where you stored your photos and on the upper right corner press Select and then select the photos that you want to delete; after selecting your photos, on the lowest part of your screen you have several choices one of them is delete. Or if you just want to delete one photo at a time, you can press and hold on the photo until a menu comes out to delete it. After you delete a photo, it is temporarily stored under Recently Deleted to give you the opportunity to either restore it or completely delete it. The way to go there is by clicking on your file manager folder which then gives you several choices to choose from one of which is Recently Deleted; choose that. You will find all your deleted items in there which you can either restore or finally delete them completely.

Yes I did that but no trash bin anywhere.

I own many Apple products since 2012 and never had any issue with them including loading deleting etc...
I don't sync or use cloud, just direct loading via SD card.
With my iPad 3, I did the same but never had an issue with removing or deleting a photo or all before.
Yes, after selecting all, in my case, all I could see was share, copy, duplicate but no delete.

I don't sync so the iTunes method cannot be done. It only asks import.
Call Apple support is my suggestion

I found that my 6s iPhone requires I select to delete, which moves the images to a 'recently deleted' album. If I wait long enough, the images purge, but if I need them gone right now, as I did while doing educational instruction videos, I had to do into the recently deleted folder and actually delete. Hope this helps.

My 2019 MacBook pro same route, no issue, just my iPad pro.
Thank you all for trying😄
I just have to go on line and schedul to meet with those Apple geek guys and see if they can help me.

I haven't tried the "hold" on a photo. I'll try that and will see.
Thanks
