He would use a Nikon because it multiple exposes in-camera. Shot with a Nikon D4s.

Not my favorite way to make a composite, though. You have much more control if you do it in Photoshop. But multiple exposures in-camera have a character and quality that is different than using Blend Modes in Photoshop.

VERY interesting result. I am not sure about a few aspects, like her head and breasts being at different levels. Perhaps more zooming to separate the images more would have produced a more interesting result. In any case, this is a great concept to pursue in PP where you have all the control you need.

One thing I do like that makes the photo stand out is the parallelogram shape of the silks.

This type of image wasn't well accepted in painting in the 1910s either with body parts all over the place. Artists tried it. I wonder why photographers didn't. It was potentially available for them to do.

The problem with multiple exposures for me is remembering what you are doing in your head because you can't see the result till it's done. And to think I used to shoot film without that bothering me.

The ‘secret’ to the success of this photo is...
while the figure obviously looks to be ‘multiple exposures’ , the fabric looks to be just ONE image. A great juxtaposition of the two elements!
A very successful experiment. Kudos!

If I may....if you would eliminate the ‘excess’ material lying on the floor (to the left of the puddle at her feet), and the ‘upper’ puddle (up by her ankles), then you would have a Very submitable work of Art. Worthy of MANY publications, and shows!!

Quality, as usual is excellent, however, this composition is somewhat discomforting.

I hear you in regards to the altered reality. What must Picasso have been thinking when he came up with the style?
