From L to R:

- NIKKOR 180 f2.8 AF-D. Was asking $350. Solid 9 of 10 condition.

- NIKKOR 135 f2.8 AI MF. Was asking $150. Solid 8.5 of 10 condition.

- NIKKOR 85 f1.8 AF-D. Was asking $200. Solid 9 of 10 condition.

Five other lenses and 3 cameras had sold during the sale.

I stopped by just as they were shutting down on Sunday. They dropped the prices to $250/$100/$150.

I offered $350 for the lot and we settled at $400 if they all mounted, focused, and metered. They did.

Good for you, LWW.
You've got a lot of work to do just adding all these to your sig. line.
Enjoy,
Marion

I don’t mean to imply these type of finds are common.

That's an 8.5 X 11 @ 240 PPI.

How nice😎. Makes me regret the opportunity I had years ago to acquire when film was my norm for my FM2N Nikon. Just a nice piece of glass! Thanks for sharing Sir!

Anytime, flattery will get you everywhere ...

Back to being serious, all three of these are very sharp lenses. The 180, from the raw file, doesn't start to get some hair on it on the monitor until about 300%.

As I've gotten older ... 63 years, 9months, @*!&#%$ it ... I've retreated to primes for serious work.

I have a 80-200 2.8 AFD which I've dearly loved ... but these three are all as sharp, and maybe sharper by a small amount.

I haven't weighed them individually, but I'd guess in combination they are a tad lighter overall.

I can also carry one mounted and the other two in my DOMKE vest pockets which evens out the weight much better.

The only down side is swapping lenses, but I learned photography before a camera had any electronics beyond a meter built in so I do know how to swap them quick and clean.

The top was taken with the 85 and the bottom with the 135:

Allow me to flatter you even further..... your still a "young man"😎 said this septuagenarian, 71 yrs 3 months. And yes, the 70-200 f2.8 Tamron G2 (don't hate) is one of my favorite zooms that I'm still learning and swap out with the 15-30 mm f2.8 of the same brand also in continuing education. But I get the " prime thing " ( vintage Nikon 24, 85,105, & 135).

Why would I hate you for buying a TAMRON?

I have a TOKINA 400 5.6 and two ROKINON lenses.

I assume we bought them for the same reason. Good NIKKOR glass is brutally expensive in 8, 16 and 400 fast focal lengths and those are three I seldom use.

As to the ‘young man’ comment, you are very kind.

As an aside, being in business I’ve picked up the opening line of “How are you young man?” whenever I meet a new male. The older they are the more they smile.

Again, thanks so much.

As you can see, I have a fancy for black and white.
