The best alternative for a facemask is no facemask. Seeing that 99.9% of masks being worn are designed for bacteria and NOT for viruses, the whole mask thing is anexercise infutility. Bacteria are thousands of time larger than viruses, so these surgical maks are completely useless, accept maybe for some psycological pease of mind. That being said,wearing these things may make one feel safe, but,not happening. Therfore we have ALL already been exposed to the virus and for 98.5% of us, there will be no adverse effects. Our bodies wil start to produce anti-bodies, and therfore build up immunities to it ,AND therfore start to develop a herd immunity, which is what we as a whole NEED to achieve. NOT my oppinion. these stats were presented to me by 4 separate doctors i personaly know,and who do not know each other. Take it for what it's worth. There are still entirly too many out there that are scared to death of death. funny how that works. Just in case ya all forget...NO ONE gets off this rock alive. Sooooo.I choose to live my live as unhidered as possible.If you still want to argue about the meritts of wearing these stupid things, and having your dayly lives dictated by an ALL loving and caring BIG BROTHER. By all means, you are all entitled to do as you see fit. As for me, I WILL TAKE DANGERIOUS FREEDOM OVER SAFE SLAVORY ANY DAY. Have breathing your own carbon dioxide. As a side not. My wife works in a hospital, and they are seeing an uptic in hypoxia cases from people wearing these masks.

It is your choice how you live - no argument, however, not wearing a mask impacts those around you. The mask is designed to prevent you from spreading what you may possibly have. Who do you love more than yourself?

I would remind you, that having a spouse that works in a hospital does not make one an expert on infectious diseases and their transmission or on pandemics and how to mitigate them. If your wife works in a hospital, I’d bet she is required to wear a mask anytime she is in the facility.

Medical experts have informed us that the mask is not to protect yourself so much as to protect those around you from your exhalations of aerosol borne virus when you talk, cough, or sneeze. There are numerous articles with videos on the internet that show the dramatic reduction in the broadcasting of microscopic globules of microbe and virus infested mist that a mask can provide. Yes, those internet videos are from reputable sources. Masks are only one means of reducing the transmission of the virus - another is social distancing. So, if you’re not going to wear a mask while out among the public why don’t you just stay home.

Wrong. My sister made some cloth masks that were specifically designed for this purpose - keeping emissions down when social distancing won’t work. Please do not confuse people with your disinformation.

I'm a freedom loving American who also hates wearing masks. But the one thing I have concluded after these loooong months is that nobody knows very much about transmission yet. Until they do and or until there is a vaccine, I will wear my mask willingly. I don't want to come to realize after the fact that I have put others in danger.
