goopy is a slang word for sentimental...we have so many bluebirds around here i can't help but feel
goopy about them. as for the backdrop....i was sitting in my blind with the sun behind me early one morning,
and the background was the part of the yard in front of me between some oak trees and grass and leaves and weeds. i was suprised by the way it looked when i viewed it on the computer.

thank you kathy! i was thrilled with the pretty bokeh, and happy that the bluebird stayed
there long enough that i could get the shot. i was very close to the birdbath, and lucky
she didn't get spooked. so happy you enjoyed it.

Great shot Merry and such a pretty bird, got a red breast like our robins.. I do like the way the background compliment the color of the bird..
