I took this shot because I was attracted to the lilies reflected in the window. They are naturally ( well maybe not naturally) by the window frame. In addition the course blocks contrasts the lilies.

An interesting catch, Frank. Looks like it might be a double paned window.

I like the concept but I think the double reflection is a bit of a distraction from the theme.

Bob, I am think you are right about the glass. When it was built I am sure they used double pane. I actually walked by it a after a couple of steps I decided it was worth going back and getting the shot.

I figured there would be some that the double image would be a distraction. But that is one of the reason I took the shot. I always appreciate how others view my shots.

Frank, I've done a few of those myself. Even to the point of going back the next day after an evening of thinking about some scene I saw.

Nice.
I would have tried to move in real close, such that the wall and window frame would no longer be in the picture, and only the most interesting element remained within the composition - the reflected lilies. Or maybe just a little bit of the wall and window frame remaining - just enough to indicate that it is in fact a window reflection and not a special effect generated by digital manipulation or shaky camera.

I was going for the contrast look. I feel if I took out the wall and frame that look would get lost. I almost sorry I didn't get the full frame. But I am sure there are endless ways of depicting this shot. I do not have an exclusive on it.

IMHO the shot is a worthy one. The juxtaposition of real and unreal is always interesting. I do think that the double pane effect is a distraction and it would be better without that. However, in retrospect, perhaps it is exactly that doubling of the subject that makes this image worth a second look?

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Always like hearing how other see my posted images. One of the reason I made a U-turn and went back to take this shot was because of the double lilies image. Otherwise, I think a "single" image would your everyday reflection.

I think we all look for the unusual when we are out shooting. Some day more successful than other days.

Nice try but I don't care for the composition.
