So it sounds like your news in Australia is even more useless than ours if all they do is talk about Donald Trump. Don't you guys have your own leaders to complain about?

His own leaders a couple of weeks back were shouting and arguing in chambers without masks and at least one was coughing.

I'm very familiar with that area of the City of St. Louis for we had done many projects for those that live there. One of the fellows that lives a the other end of the street is a modern weapons collector with a Federal License to own fully automatic weapons including a Browning M2 50-cal. heavy machine gun. He is also an expert long range marksman and he spent time at Barrett Arms for special training with the Barrett 50-cal. rifle. It would be unwise for anyone to breach his home.

Now, we have a very 2nd Amendment State including constitutional carry and no duty to retreat. What is not permissible is to use deadly force to protect property however once they breach the home...game over.

What he and his wife did was a show of force with no shots fired. With constitutional carry one is permitted to openly carry a firearm in the State. To conceal carry one must have a permit to do so.

However....having a pistol in a holster on your hip or a rifle slung over your shoulder is not the same as pointing it at someone and that's where the problems start to arise and things can get quite wormy.

American 2nd Amendment God-Given Stupidity. I am surprised you weren't able to figure that out on your own.

Imagine what might have happened had a protester pointed a plastic water pistol at the couple...

Imagine IF you guys up there had a real Constitution and the self-defense was admissible hey?

Our leaders are just ordinary mask wearing public servants shepherding the nation through a pandemic.

It's not often we get the breathless, blow by blow reporting on the fabulous celebrity lifestyle and antics of a DJT. The last three and one half years have been unbelievable!

Just as up here, you and many others treat news as just another form of entertainment, one that gets your juices flowing. Very little information from news sources is geared towards actually enhancing your life

I've seen sessions of the Australian Parliament years back, and they make our Congress look like fine up-standing geniuses. They are way ahead of the game with this silly Woke stuff. Their historical treatment of the Aborigines make our Slavery and Indian Wars look like a stay at the Ritz Carlton.

Duh, tarheel.

The protesters were already trespassing on private property when they " BROKE " down the gates for their peaceful march. Let's have them march on your property and see how you like it.

Here's a link to a video story by an investigative reporter for the St. Louis Dispatch (largest St. Louis paper) It refutes Tucker Carlson's report that the protesters damaged the gate and raises a question of who actually damaged the gate. The protesters were on the street and sidewalk and the gun toters brought out their guns BEFORE the gate was damaged. Still feel smug?

This couple was way out of line. In no state are you allowed to use deadly force because someone stepped on your lawn.
These two are the reason the 2nd amendment is defective.

This article in the St. Louis Dispatch is 3 hours old as of now.

By Tony Messenger: "This wasn’t the first time the McCloskeys pulled a gun to protect property, lawsuit says"

In 2017, the McCloskeys sued to defend a sliver of property that they claim as their own and Portland Place trustees say belongs to the neighborhood.

They didn't use DEADLY force they just show that "if you try to destruct we will USE DEADLY FORCE" You are right about stepping on someone's lawn but DO NOT BE an Imbecile by trying to demolish something else.

The 2nd is very effective and you can't touch it that your first big problem, you better ask other states to join your stupid idea to start and after we can talk about it

This country is the last bastion of Liberty and you demented leftists want to stop all this with a bunch of crazy Fascists ideas that didn't work good anywhere.

Who used deadly force? They may have displayed the ability to use it but they did not, now pointing a Gun at anyone could be called Assault and they are guilty of that. They both need gun safety training.
