Hydroxchloroquine does have prophylactic protection, but only up to the point where the patient's condition worsens. The medical community also uses the term "disinfectant" referring to some drugs and the way they work when taken. There is also ample evidence that UV light kills viruses. (Viruses work in dark, warm, wet environments, not sunshine where they die.) There is also evidence that UV light, adapted to an endotracheal tube will kill Wuhan in the throat, bronchial tubes and upper lobes of the lungs.

The penetration of Wuhan, like most all viruses, will penetrate to 75%-80% of any population, regardless the precautions. The penetration of Wuhan has been around 90-120 million people, 40x-50x times the diagnosed rate. The death rate, not from Wuhan because viruses don't kill, is concentrated in those over age 75. Those folks have compromised immune systems because of age or chronic diseases. The lowest number of deaths has been those under age 25, where the latest numbers put it at 159.
