Thank you Susan, I am happy you still enjoy the tour.
Beautiful country as well as architecture and you've been photographing it so well, WW. Thanks for sharing.

Wadi is the Arabic term traditionally referring to a valley, but it may also refer to a dry riverbed that contains water only when heavy rain occurs, in North Africa, the term Oued is used instead.
Water is a very precious resource in Oman and on the entire Arabian peninsula. Free flowing water is a rare and a treasured commodity, worthy of special attention. In this set, we visit one of these "Wadis" and enjoy its palm tree fringes and rock-strewn waterbeds.
I recommend viewing in download.

I enjoyed the goats and cat waiting for a handout most.
What an amazing series of pictures! I love everything about them. The resolution is perfect. It was just like being there
Thanks, Alan

Thank you Alan for your kind comment, I have to admit, I was very happy with these also, especially the 2 introductory shots. This is an ongoing tour series, if you are interested, I invite you to stay on, the scene will soon change from the water views (as in today's post from the Sur harbor) to the sand/palms/markets/castles and mountain look. - Welcome aboard. If you have plenty of time and the interest, you might also consider going back and looking at the episodes I previously posted over the last 2 weeks or so.
Excellent set. Thank you very much for sharing. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thank you Khalid for looking in and taking the time to comment, I very much appreciate that. This is still the opening phase of a quite long presentation on Oman and Abu Dhabi/Dubai and there will be much more posts. If you are interested in the area, I invite you to look back at the earlier posts, in case you have not noticed them - they were mainly about the capital city area of Muscat and might be of interest to you.
Many thanks. I am fascinated by the area and will certainly look up your earlier posts. Incidentally, some years ago I was invited to become the economic advisor to the Omani Ministry of Social Affairs. However, at the time I was tied up in several other assignments and could not take up the offer. My loss.

Interesting, I had a similar experience once with a job offer to Liberia in Africa, which I also had to let go as they took too long in their decision making process and I was just about to emigrate to Canada. You have been a long-time UHH member so I assume you know how to quickly access past postings, but just in case, here is the info: click on my name beside my avatar (weberwest), you get my profile, click on the number besides "topics created", and you will see all my posts. Enjoy.
