How about being forced to take off your shoes before you can get through security at the airport?
How about being forced not to smoke in public places?
How about being forced to stop at a red light?
How about being forced to wear shoes, shirt before you can be served in a store?

[quote=Hamltnblue]There are victims every day. Most victims other than natural causes are the result of leftist Ideology.
If you drive your car, you are selfish because you put others at risk by moving your 2 ton vehicle at 35 miles an hour. If you pass gas you are selfish because you put others at risk breathing your bacteria. If you talk you are selfish because you can annoy others and raise their blood pressure. If you don't change your mask, you risk a lung infection from bacteria building up and being inhaled. It goes on and on. everything you do is a risk. As suggested, if you don't want risk or don't want to risk hurting others, stay in your basement.

First of all you do not even come close to responding to my point that someone who doesn’t care if he dies and possibly contributes to others dying is a sad and dangerous fool.
Second it is hardly a profound point to say that we all live with and accept risk. The point is, as I expressed to another poster, is that My freedom stops at your nose. I have no god given or constitutional right to put you or anyone else at additional risk because I want to exercise every possible personal freedom.
Your analogy about not being born with face masks is absurd. It makes you sound like a moron. Do you seriously want to reject all the advances made, the longer life expectancy achieved, by ignoring scientific advice? And I never realized that leftist ideology is responsible for more deaths than cancer or heart disease.
No one can retreat to his or her basement. No one should have to.

Hell, even staying in your basement and ordering out puts the delivery people at risk. Touching any product at all puts you at risk. Do you scrub every item that enters the house? If not you are taking a risk.
Do you throw out your trash? You are putting the garbage collectors at risk handling your junk. Do you flush the toilet? Yup, putting the workers at the sanitation facilities at risk. Sooo sooo selfish. How do you people look in the mirror?
People were born without built in masks. We've survived thousands of years without them. The answer to life is not listening to idiots who change their story and minds on a whim and call it science. And one last thing. If you think that shutting down businesses selectively is not political, you probably should request a refund for any diploma's you have because you didn't learn to think.

I'll stand by my post. To say that because SOME viruses stay in your system and cause problems down the line Covid-19 will also is a logical leap as I've shown with two examples. Not enough is known about this virus to be able to make that assertion. The most that one could say is that based upon the history of SOME viruses, Covid-19 COULD cause problems in the future, but that remains to be seen.

Once I am dead I will not care.
I will NOT be on a ventilator ever anyway so that is not an issue.
All that sacrifice above is so sick losers can selfishly make all others miserable as they are already.

Did you stay home every time the flu or other virus you mentioned flared up?
Did you wear a mask every time?
Those getting sick now I saw on the news are still only the fat, diabetic, old with weak immune systems or some other severe problem and they are barely alive anyway.
Why are these people out in public anyway?
I see more geezers at Walmart and about at all other venues than any other demographic.
What the hell are they doing out on the street, stay home in your basement.
If you are fat, diabetic or otherwise in ill health STAY HOME IN YOUR BASEMENT and t]let the rest of us have normal lives.
Why should your sick ass dictate to a majority of Americans how to suffer.
Yes we might catch the Chinese flu and then we will recover just like any other flu.
I have many friends who had it, got a runny nose and then it was gone. DID NOT DIE.
If it is an issue to you then stay in your basemen... (show quote)

Your words will come back to haunt you when you get old, fat and weak. That is, if you live long enough to get old.

The lack of medical knowledge, selfishness, conspiracy theories and irresponsibility in this thread is one of the saddest and most depressing things I have read in a very long time. I am simply amazed. God help the future of our country if some of the attitudes expressed here are widespread. Perhaps a reread of The Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire is in order.

How is life living under bridges and avoiding the Sun's evil rays?
You see- and hear- what you want to. You believe what you were told and cherry picked that.
Almost every doctor in almost every country stated that ages between 10 and 50 are the most vulnerable.
Except for you.
There were studies- over 50, overweight, diabetic- heightened inflammation decreased vulnerability.
Except for you.

While older people with underlying conditions are more susceptible, the fact is that this latest spike includes many young people who insisted on going to bars. If one of your family members contracts the disease you won't be so cavalier in your dismissive attitude.

This seemed to overlook one disturbing aspect. Hospitals are getting money for each Covid 19 diagnosis, more money for hospitalization, more money for each procedure. It seems to make sense that diagnosis are up.

Just google are hospitals getting paid for diagnosing covid 19

Do you think that fact might skew the curve a bit?

Another disturbing aspect is your cell phone is spying on you. Yup, some time in the near past, an app was installed on your phone which can track your movement. It's blatantly called Covid 19.

I understand your frustration , you are not insulting people, they deserve to be insulted. I am in the UK and we have areas where people are blatantly ignoring the social distancing .There are packed beaches , demonstrations and the specific area in which I live has been packed with people.

In one area, Leicester, they are now having to consider a complete lockdown again as they virus is spreading again !

They will spread the virus and there will be unnecessary deaths . They are committing murder by their selfish behaviour , words fail me . They are disgusting.

Dear All: I am a pharmacist by trade and a photographer by hobby. This virus has challenged all of us in health care and we are trying to do our best to do what we were trained to do. That is, we are trying to save people's lives. We are not looking at a person's skin color and saying "you can live and you cannot." We are not trying to decide who's religious beliefs are worth saving. We are too busy saving lives to decide if your choice for the next president is correct or just down-right wrong. Every one's life is important and we are fighting any enemy infection that we have limited tools to fight with. Why do I say that? Many years ago, many strange illnesses plagued our shores. We fought hard and made failures along the way. But, we learned from our failures. We never thought of them as mistakes. I am writing about some infections that most people have heard about but never experienced the climate of the times. There is Tuberculosis, Measles, Malaria, Rabies, AIDS, Zika, SARS, Ebola and now this.
Let us take a young Irish girl who came to this country at the turn of the century with her family during a time when our country had a very anti-Irish sentiment. (It was not uncommon to see signs that read "IRISH NEED NOT APPLY!". But this young girl named Mary was sent off to work to support her family during the turn of the century. She did her best as a cook and was held in high regard because of her skill. Sadly people contracted sickness and the city's Department of Health leaped into action. She was quantified as Patient Zero. She was held in isolation and ordered to be quarantined. She fought the Health Order and won since she did not display any illness at the time. The City granted her appeal under the condition that she not work as a cook and must have her Gall Bladder removed. She had no intention of abiding by the order and went back to work. Many more people got sick and many died. The City department of health finally quarantined her for the remainder of her life on North Brother Island in the South Bronx Bay in New York City. She eventually died from a heart attack after thirty years in isolation. She was nicknamed "Typhoid Mary."
There is an excellent book titled, "How To Survive a Plague," by David France. It tells of the history of the fight we had had against AIDS.

I tell all of you these stories not to impress you. But I wish to convey a simple thought. Unless you are not paying attention, there is a simple thematic thread here to be followed. Everything that we are experiencing now is about RESPECT! We better start paying some of the checks due or we are not going to learn this lesson for a LOOONG TIIIME!

From what I am seeing and my understanding of viruses, this virus has several strains. Each strain varies in the incubation period, the severity of symptoms and eventual outcome and subsequent shedding after infectious state. But we better start respecting each other, not just those in our family and those we know.

Well, I have written all that I wish to without boring many to tears. So, let me jump off my soap box and get back to what it is I do.

Happy Shooting!
