I take my family including 7 grandkids to the beach, Corolla, NC every year. Each year I come home with 250-300 pictures which I put in a photo book using Snapfish. Satisfied with them but wondering if another company might have higher quality. Any suggestions?

I have used Blurb from Lightroom to build and print picture magazines recently. Worked out well, easy to setup directly from the Lightroom print module, good quality and reasonably priced vs books.

If you have LrC the Book Module works very well. The nice thing about creating a book straight from LrC is that you do not need to export images or change their format in any way, it is all done automatically through the book module. You simply pop the images in, click the button to send, and it goes directly to Blurb. You can proof your book in the Book Module by printing a PDF or you can proof it once it's gone to Blurb. The software gives you paper options and tells you exactly what the book cost as you create pages. There is a 20-page minimum. I've created about 15 coffee-table size books on their high quality stock paper and they turn out beautifully but the books I create are fairly expensive. You can control the cost with your page number and paper quality choices.

Thanks. Higher quality is what Iā€™m after. I have Lightroom So will give it a try. Not too concerned about the cost.

You might want to take a look at the LrC help manual online for the Book Module. It is not intuitive but once you figure it out it's fairly easy. I create the large books with full page spreads and generally use the non-paper cover as paper tears. Hope it works out.

I have used Printique, part of Adorama, a few times and I've always been happy with the books. Depending on your choices you can get thick pages with a real quality feel, different backgrounds for the pages, various kinds of covers, and even a presentation box. I'm not a digitally proficient person but I have figured out their software and find it pretty easy to use. If I do another book it will be with them.

There are many companies that do outstanding work. I personally use shutter fly. BUT, I do my work creating my book and then save it on their site and wait for a sale, which they have about once a month of once every other month where they give you any extra pages free, and free shipping, and a discount on the book. I just ordered 20 photo books for my show, 111 full pages of my best bird photography and only paid $17.00 per book. Yes grasshopper, patience is rewarded.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

I have made four books including a wedding album using Mixbook.com. They always come out great and very quickly! I avoid auto-fill and if I want to include any text, I put that into photo boxes on the page layout instead of making separate text boxes and trying to squeeze them in. Good luck!

I have used Flickr since 2007. You can create online photo albums as you like, describe each image, add links, etc. You also can add the same image to multiple albums. You can share links to albums or individual images. And Flickr shows your image in the original resolution, and you can view images full-screen. I think that this is a great platform to share high-quality images.

I've been very satisfied with the two books I've done with Printique. Excellent company.

I've done quite a few books now and always use Blurb. High Quality, great print job. Choice of papers and covers.

Best quality I have found is from MPIX.

I'm cheap! I print images out myself the size I want & put them in the appropriate size binder, I use 2 sizes 8x10 & 13x19 , got binders off of Amazon
