Yes it does! I had one as a kid and rode it to Jr. High (middle school) every day in good weather.

It was a different time. As kids we loved being outside in the fresh air. When the weather was foul I would walk. I actually liked walking after or during a fresh snow. I had a Schwinn 24” prior to my Raleigh (I think it was a 28”).

I had several plans that involve Jerome. As you said, with what's going on, who knows when I'll get there.

Jerome is a great town - the Grand Hotel on the hill overlooking the town is haunted, they claim. Jerome was a terminus for sport car drives we did from Tucson and we frequently drove through Jerome on other drives ending in Flagstaff. It is on US 89A, a kind of spur off US89 that once ran border-to-border. I think most of the part in AZ is a state road now. The drive through the mountains north of Jerome is sports-car heaven.

Nice shot but there are a lot of old buildings in Jerome of which we would love to see some creative images.

The Grand Hotel is great on the 3rd floor insane ward. There is a long balcony overlooking the Verde Valley. You can sit and converse with the other guests on that side.
All the times we have been there we did not encounter any ghosts though
