United States Postal Service recognition.
I have seen a few posts about the poor service from our postal service recently. Looking at the locations of these poor reports I can understand.
I am in North Texas I can most assuredly tell you all our postal service is THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!
If I recall here maybe some members who are either currently Postal workers or retired Postal workers.
Either way, I am posting my appreciation to our United States Postal Workers.OK.
Yes they are humans just like us and subject to the usual BS we had to deal with. But, go to any other country in the world and live there and find out what your postal service is like there.
Ok, all you Hoggers out there around the world. Go ahead and chine in.
All I can tell you is that the postal service here is damn good especially when I talk to my friends in other countries.
So, bitch all you want but appreciate what you have.
My words are true,

I've had no problems with USPS where I live.

👍👍 thanks for posting. We have a great “old school” mail carrier who always places packages under our carport, asks about my wife whenever I see him and has even offered to go to the grocery store for us during this pandemic. I’m guessing he’s not the only one like this. It is not an easy job, and I, for one, appreciate the USPS.
So why don't we put a business savvy person in charge of the USPS? Somebody needs to marshal, train and encourage these good people so they can thrive in a job that is difficult to do effectively and almost impossible to do under the guidance of a bureaucrat who couldn't manage a hot dog stand. President Trump wants to do just that.
USPS Sucks here. We get neighbors mail on a regular basis and visa versa. Numbers are in front of the house.

Ours hasn't been the best since Randy, our regular mailman retired.
That said, It's not really gripeworthy. Our neighbors with a nearly identical addresses to ours bring our mail to us, and we do the same for them, if/when it occasionally happens.
I’m in my seventies and I don’t remember ever having any post delivery person that wasn’t great. My wife and I always Let them know that we appreciate their efforts. God bless The ND work ethic.

Don't know about the U.S.P.S. but our U.K. equivalent, G.P.O., does pretty well in my book. At least you can post to anywhere in the Country for a set price. Important if you're keeping the wilds of Scotland nice for the rest of us.

Thank you for the nice reply. They are reliable and in your case very caring. It does take a special calling for most service people.
Bruce.
I have a "warm spot" in my heart for the USPS because my grandfather was a postmaster in a small WV town (population ~300 if the only stoplight in town was red.. and now it's gone)
Because the statute of limitations has run out, I can say he even let me into the back and cancel some mail and change the AM/PM on the postmark. (Now that'll date me) For the most part I get great service and they do a great job. My only real complaint now is they still manage to deliver those pesky bills every month.

That is sad, let them know. Maybe they will remedy it.

I have seen posts both positive and negative about all of the mail/package carriers. My take is that the level of service differs dramatically depending on the part of the country in which you live. Is it that the people are just so different in attitude, or is it the water they drink. I don't know, but here in Nashville Tn the people are kinder and so are our delivery people.
