With the covid-19 lockdown in full bloom, I've spent more time in the backyard than ever. Among the various birds, bugs and lizards I've seen, one thing in particular has caught my attention. Monarch butterflies have been parading through not only daily but I'd say hourly. I've got a couple of milkweed plants that do attract them, but the scale this year has been like no other. We've had a lot of Monarch chrysalis and caterpillars as well. I've seen our milk weed plants decimated by the caterpillars only to grow back and be decimated again. Trying to photograph these guys in-flight was a challenge, but I did manage a few. Here are some pics, hope you enjoy. Thanks for viewing. Best viewed on download.

Exceptional series - very sharp - well done!
Breathtakingly beautiful photographs.
Excellent set, Don, very impressive ButterflyIFs.
Magnificent shots, beautiful colors on the butterflies and the flowers and soooo sharp!
Outstanding, Don. Please do more.
Weβre all spending more time in our backyards, but not many of us have such lovely plantings and such a plethora of Monarchs. Very nice job all around!
Excellent set of those beatiful butterflies. Looks like you use a flash to stop the wings.
You must be in a butterfly house πππππ€π€
