I had no idea she was lusting after a camera.

Minutes ago my (wonderful) wife pushed the order button at B&H. Will she regret it?

More importantly, will I regret it? Will her Yellowstone (and other) wildlife images be better than mine? This is challenging.

What do I do now?

Could be another LIFE_LESSON ahead.....fake the virus and play sick for a month....? You'll find an excuse.

I have an RX10 IV. I agree. It is a great camera. Just wish it went beyond F16

Move over, prepare dinner and get the laundry done.

Be happy she didn't buy a Rolex or tennis bracelet

No! Maybe! Probably! Get one for yourself! That is a fantastic camera for wildlife with that 600mm (equiv) Zeiss glass!

A professional photographer friend of mine for years recently bought a RX10 IV. He has always used Nikon and Hasselblad cameras for his professional work with some 4X5's and 8X10's thrown in for product photography. He tells me the Sony does about 99% of what he has done with the other cameras, is lighter and the sharpness is incredible. He loves his.

I gave my son the same camera before he headed to England for a masters degree. He produced numerous great pics! So, when she is not shooting, try it yourself. And let her use your unit, as well. The two of you can share and learn. And have fun...

Great camera! I own one. While you’re changing lenses she will not have to
and if she uses Sony’s Clear Image Zoom on the Sony RX10M4 she will have a 1200mm lens! And it works Beautifully!

I started with a used RX10 about three years ago and still like it a lot. About a year ago I added a
RX10IV to my bag and have never regretted it. Easily the best "do it all" camera money can buy. I think your wife has made a good move.
