Epson EcoTank (not a cheap printer, but it uses cheap ink!)

Canon PIXMA Pro 100 — best value photo printer for high quality and low volume.

That is exactly what I use and would recommend. On sale the Canon is a bargain. The Epson cost more initially but you save in the long run on the ink.

The Epson Eco Tank printer is a nice all around printer that saves lots of money on ink costs, but it is not a Photo Quality printer. Best of luck.

That’s precisely why I recommend owning an EcoTank for OFFICE printing and the PIXMA Pro 100 for PHOTO printing. These are printers designed for different strengths.
