At his briefing on Saturday, Mr. Trump likewise endorsed the firing of Capt. Brett E. Crozier of the Navy, who was removed from command of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt after sending his superiors a letter pleading for help for his virus-stricken crew. “He shouldn’t be talking that way in a letter,” the president said. “I thought it was terrible what he did.”
The Capt was not fired (discharged). He was relieved of his duty, for poor judgement. He is still in the navy, with his rank.
And now he has tested positive for cov-19

But his career is over!
As fast as running a ship, yes. Unfortunately, he let his feelings get in the way of judgement. This is a HUGE error in the military.

Let's dig a little deeper into this. Trump fired Secretary of the Navy Spencer because Spencer, unlike Trump, did not want to treat the Seal Team 6 Matthews as a hero but as the murderer that he was. Trump replaced Spencer with Modly, a known Trump ass-kisser. Modly admitted to a colleague that Trump wanted Crozier fired. Why? Because Crozier's alarming message about the Navy not acting fast enough to deal with the virus infection on his ship conflicted with Trump's effort to minimize the threat of the virus. Yes, Crozier was "fired" because his naval career was ended. And I suppose that the rousing farewell he got from the crew of his carrier only showed that all those sailors had poor judgement in thinking that their Captain had acted to protect them.
“Chopper always had the best interests of his crew forefront. I’m sure that was the case here,” Mr. Craig said. **“Chopper’s character is not prone to hasty or uneducated decision making. Anything he did was well thought out.”**
Dan Goldenberg, another Naval Academy classmate of Captain Crozier’s, said that “Modly is wrong no matter what.”
“He either made the wrong call in firing Crozier, or if he made the right call, he did a terrible job of explaining it — it’s just illogical,” said Mr. Goldenberg, a retired Navy captain and special assistant to four secretaries of the Navy.

OMG and Golly Gee Whillikers it is simply amazing to me how high up in the governmental and Naval hierarchy you must be to know all of this stuff. I might even go so far as to throw in a Holy CRAP. It is almost as if you are sitting right there next to all of these name dropped people while they talk secretly about what is going on and how they think. Congratulations on whoever you are at the top rung of the ladder. Your seeming lack of credentials belie who you must really be Mr. Mitty.
