In addition, it is a felony in Georgia for a convicted felon to possess a taser.

And although you don't bring it up here, I've seen many argue that the officer knew it had already discharged, so it was harmless at this point. Fact is, most of the police tasers out in the field now have two shots--in case of missfire, and they also have stun probes on them so that it can be used as a contact weapon.
