Anyone ever dealt with them? They claim they sell an import camera from Europe or Canada and not a Chinese import. Care to share your experience? Gary

If it wasn't imported by the official U. S. importer, it's considered gray market. The warranty would be covered by the importer in that country which means you'd have to cover the postage to & from. You're probably looking at months to get any repairs done. Nikon & Canon in particular are hard nosed when it comes to gray market items.

Every word above is misinformed.

Don’t be a mark. Get real.

Understood. I don't have any experience with them but here's a link to a site that apparently gives them a good review. https://www.cpricewatch.com/blog/2014/08/ebay-seller-deals-all-year-formerly-known-as-ryther-camera/.

If you're shopping on price, they look to be reputable. I tend to stick with Adorama, B&H, or KEH. I may have to pay more but, they have a reputation for selling U. S. market products at very good prices.

They are selling GRAY Market camera's. So, if it is Nikon, Nikon USA will not honor the warranty nor will they repair it if something ever goes wrong with it.
To get warranty service on a gray market Nikon, you will have to mail it to the country of origin. So, say if the camera was imported from China, you will have to send it to Nikon China for warranty service and or repairs.

Canon will repair any gray market camera or lens at their standard service rate. They will not cover warranty issues.

You really need to stay with authorized dealers. I was looking for a new lens and saw one 270. less than normal. I knew it couldn't be from an authorized dealer with a US warranty but just for fun I wrote and asked them why it was so much cheaper. This was my reply lol
Hello,

Thank you for messaging us. It is my pleasure to assist you.

The Canon EF lens you are inquiring about is a genuine Canon product in its original packaging.

The lens is the imported version, hence, does not include a manufacturer's warranty.

The lens is covered under our 30 day seller's warranty. additionally, the lens includes a CPS Central 1 year warranty (covering manufacturer defects). please contact our customer center to activate you warranty.

There is always this to consider .

I depends on whether you believe a corrupt dealer can reform.

I purchased two Canon camera bodies (a 5dm4 and an 80d) plus a lens from Deals All Year a couple of years ago and was completely satisfied. Granted they were grey market but Canon manufacturing quality is so good I was not terribly concerned about any warranty issues. In essence, I was willing to self insure in return for the large cost savings. Canon will repair grey market cameras and lenses but you will have to pay the going price.

I bought a Canon L lens from them about 3 weeks ago. Ordered on a Monday morning and it was picked up by UPS on Thursday. Was packaged very well, better than a lot of other sellers, and had everything in the box that should be there. I read the online reviews and bought thru E-Bay, as I know E-Bay would make it right if anything was misrepresented. Every thing was fine. I might be a little more concerned on a body, but if the savings were enough, might roll the dice.
