Nikon D7500 for Dummies. I think this is what you're looking for. No disrespect intended. https://books.google.com/books/about/Nikon_D7500_For_Dummies.html?id=UK45DwAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button

If Darrel Young has a book for your camera, pick it up. He goes through a camera button by button, feature by feature and explains how to use them all. He even makes setting suggestions And explains why, if you’re so inclined.

Creative Live has a "fast start" camera guide for the D7500 taught by John Greengo. It is currently on sale for $19. The name of the classes are misleading; there are 26 lessons on the functions of the camera and PDF information you can print out for reference. He is an excellent educator and when you finish you will know what your camera is all about.

I have this guide for my Fujifilm XT-2 and go back to it often if my memory fails me.

Greengo is very good. His presentation is thorough and concise. He covers the entire camera. Also look at Bryan Carnathan's the-digital-picture-show.com. His critiques are excellent. Greengo's lessons are yours to keep. Carnathan's are reference material on his site. Both will give you excellent information about the camera in question.

Both Darrell Young and David Busch write excellent books that explain all the features and make recommendations of settings for different situations.

I just purchased a new Nikon 7500 camera and some of the features may be confusing. I would love a feature Why and how to use it properly. The manual that comes with the camera really does not express how to use it on the best features. I am familiar with most of the concepts but some features are confusing.

I would love to have a generic answer and explanation "how To" The new camera's have features that need explaining. Could this be a good
Topic to discuss

The tutorial section of the User's Manual covers just about every feature you would ever use. As you read it again, assuming you read it once, if there is a feature you need help with ask a specific question.

A discussion on all the features of your new camera would be more confusing than any manual ever written.

I have a D500, similar to the D7500, but more "featured".. I have learned MORE from the inexpensive e-Books from Steve Perry at " http://www.backcountrygallery.com " Just go and do this for yourself, and you will be amazed!! He is always updating his info, and is the BEST source I've ever known after using Nikon cameras digital SLR's since the D70 came out!! Best of luck in your photography pursuits!!

Start with one feature. Learn what it does and figure out when you want to use it. Then do another feature and so on. When to use a feature is a struggle but worth the effort. Eventually you will settle on the ones that you want to use most all of the time. These are complicated devices and we each have to develop our own process to demystify them. Some do books. Some do videos. Some do hands on. Some do all of the above.

I also recently purchased the D7500 and faced the same issues you're having. I purchased Nikon D7500 for Dummies by Julie Adair King, maybe this might help you out.

I've read most of the books and watched just about all the videos out there. By far, the most direct, and best YT videos, blogs and books are from Steve at backcountrygallery.com. Start from there. He directly addresses Nikon DSLR setups. Have fun and the more you shoot, the more you'll learn.
