...and on it goes. President Trump did NOT create the virus or bring it here from China nor did he place it in 190 other countries. Covid19 happened and it's a tragedy but Trump is not responsible for this virus. What he is responsible for is stopping air travel from China before anyone else even thought about it. He is responsible for providing more than enough ventilators for Gov. Coumo. He is responsible for making certain there were no shortages of hospital beds or personal in New York or any other state. He is responsible setting up drive through testing and going from zero to super fast in providing those tests. He is responsible for turning a Ford plant into a ventilator plant then a medical wear plant - and all in in six short weeks. He is responsible for supplying Brazil and several other countries with thousands of ventilators that Coumo never needed. Right or wrong, he was responsible for almost daily conferences with “the experts”.

But let’s talk about "lying"...... Did Dr. Fauci lie when last March/April he told us not to wear masks because they could cause more contamination or was it a simple mistake? Did the WHO lie when they told us the virus was not air borne or did they simply not know? Did Nancy Pelosi lie when she told everyone there was no danger in taking a walking tour of China Town in San Francisco? Did the world model makers lie when they told us there would be 2 million deaths by the end of April or were they simply wrong? Either everyone lied or no one lied or you have different rules for different people. Hmmmmmmm.

Let me refresh your memory about what was going on in this country when President Trump had his first meeting with his staff about Covid19. Perhaps he was a bit distracted because he was being Impeached! That must have taken up a few minutes of his time. Oh, yeah. Just before the impeachment came the business of the hearings about Ukrainian phone call. If memory serves that's when we discovered a few Dems that had very short memories. Then there was that little matter of two and a half years and 32 million dollars wasted on the Muller hearing. Wow....if you want to discuss lying would you care to have a conversation about the Steel dossier? Did I hear you mention anything about the lies told during the Kavenaugh hearing? How about Michael Avenatti? Were those lies or did he end up in a federal prison because he was confused about the difference between extortion and information? Oops, almost forgot. Did Mr. Obama lie when he said we could all keep our doctors or did circumstances just change? Was that a faux pas or a lie when he said we had 57 states?

There is a difference between exaggeration, being overly optimistic and out right lies and you my dear Kmgw9v are bright enough to know that. President Trump might let his hopes get ahead of reality but he is not a liar.

Oh my friend,It’s ok to hate Trump, it's ok to detest the Republican platform, it's fine to disagree with 42% of all Americans. It's ok to believe you are superior to all those that have a different view point than yours but it’s not ok to malign all who do not agree with you. It's not ok to accuse others of wrong doing when they are not in a position to defend themselves. It’s not ok to deliberately withhold information when you know it might change the conclusion of an argument. And, unless you have super natural powers, it's not ok to predict the future or assume you know what another person is thinking when you have not been given that information.

One of the biggest problems is communications. To digress slightly - have you ever watched a news item where something happened and it was reported as a developing news item ? And the event lasted 2-3 days ? The news item raises several questions including what was the resolution ? And then you hear or see nothing further. It leaves you with not knowing some answers and it is frustrating. And you just know that the reason why there was no followup was because some stupid marketing twerp decided, on your behalf, that you really didn't want to know anything further because consumers have a mind that cannot function more than 5 minutes ahead. And this happens 50 times a day. So you then wonder why there are riots and demonstrations ?
Quite possibly because the frustrations have risen so high that you snap and go on a bender.

Well unfortunately politicians are somewhat akin to previously mentioned 'stupid marketing twerp'.

We would be tremendously better off if everybody learned and practiced much better communications skills so that the population becomes better informed about what is happening around them. This will mean less surprises to the nation and less frustration building up.
The US does have a long history of lying or only telling half the truth instead of fronting up. The reasons are varied but CYA lives at the bottom of most of it. There can be some good reasons why you might like to hide some information - maybe vital information for the security of the nation but basically mostly CYA. With todays ability to store information and making it freely available it is very much hider to hide the truth. And one of the biggest things that is hard to hide is the frequency of the CYAing and how long it has been going on for.
The sooner presidents (note the plural there before anybody has a go at me) and other elected officials start thinking more about the nation rather than their own desire to be re-elected or even get paid the better off everybody will all be. The proof that this is what is happening can be evidenced by China. They tell their population nothing or just outright lies. To the population they then don't know any better (although this is starting to catch up with the CCP now) BUT to us outsiders with the knowledge available to all we know that the CCP is just telling BS. This is happening all round the world now and as soon as politicians realize this and start communicating better without the prevarication and obfuscation we will all be better off.

Interesting, I've never heard Trump referred to in exactly those words, but I guess they fit. I believe you sell Biden short. Is he better able to run the country than any other living American? Probably not. Is he better able to run the country than anyone we had a chance to get elected? I believe so. It will be a binary choice, and it will probably be between Biden and Trump. If it is, then voting for anyone else will be the same as staying home. Even if your descriptions were accurate, "old fart crazy" strikes me as safer than "bat shit crazy". If you truly believe that Joe is as dangerous as Trump, then write in whoever you wish. If you believe Biden would be even a tiny bit more sane a choice than Trump, you owe it to yourself, and everyone else to vote for him. A write in is a cowards way of trying to avoid responsibility.
