Could you try a little higher? My initial thinking was that he would be looking straight at the moon, but it make create that visual conflict. What if you made it a horizontal shot?

Your eye bounces from the pointed beak to the moon and back again. Please note the GBH and the moon have been placed on 1/3 power points. That does not work. Anywhere on the right side causes the viewers eye to bounce or fight for dominance. You are welcome to download the pic and try it for yourself. If you find a pleasing arrangement please post it and show me. I tried the GBH on the lower 1/3 point and the moon on the upper 1/3 point, did not work for me.

Hand holding a BIF at 560 is all encompassing for me, only after she landed in the tree did I take my eye away. Then I noticed the moon and imagination replaced vision with less than optimum results. Photo focus stacking is really the realm of image creation not image capture but that is a very hazy gray line. The capture of the image in the minds' eye is often different from the image first presented as captured by the eye of the camera. Once started on the path of image creation where does one stop.

Very nice image regardless of the travels the Moon may've made. Thanx for sharing.
