Looks like a photo-based scam

I just received this e-mail supposedly from Google with the subject line, "We chose your photo for our poster" and link to "view albums."

Right clicking on the Google address shows the actual address to be dvigilnn@amega.com which sure doesn't sound like a Google address.

Here's a screen shot of what I received. Thoughtfully, my Apple e-mail put the message in the Junk folder. An I correct in my suspicions?

I should add that I find it highly interesting that as a UHH member and having purchased photography items from B & H and Amazon, I get such a clearly-targeted e-mail.

I wonder how they got my address?

100% fishing expedition and the downlink is probably either a virus or some other form of malware.

When you order, use a private browser. When I place orders I use Firefox and go to File-->New Private window.
AND...never search with Google.

You gave that address to UHH when you registered so you could then receive the confirmation email and return it. Maybe you forgot ?

I have two active email addresses. Simply by coincidence I use one for B&H (which is the same that UHH has on file) and a different one for amazon. I have purchased a ton of stuff from amazon in the past year, and many items from B&H during the past five years.

I get ZERO spam or other email classified as junk. I use Chrome web browser. (I have never clicked on an ad that is displaying on UHH; in fact, it's extremely rare for me to click on a targeted ad in any website)

Very good advise Linda. Your postings are always very informative. I see yo have a new avatar. Move that camera away from your face and let's see your lovely smile. Gods blessings to you and the OP. I use a private VPN on my anti-virus program but Linda's process is good. I too have two emails, one is a secure encrypted site BUT STILL, if your addy gets out there, the spam and fishers will find you. If any questions or doubts, just delete the crap.
My nickels worth today.

Could also be from a friends computer (who has your email) where they got in and harvested his email addresses.

No, no; I meant how did the scammers get my address and know to target me because I'm a photographer? Presumably it's based on my photo buying activities or my UHH activities where my name was obtained off a list. I completely trust UHH not to give out member contact info so that leaves either Amazon or B & H. I also use Bing as my search engine so I suppose they're suspect, too.

I posted this largely to find out if any other Hoggers received it.
