I had a lower back surgery 15 years ago that went less than good. After lots of pain and drugs they opted to install a ' spinal cord stimulator'. It has helped me get around very well. It involves inserting wires lengthwise up your spinal cord, inside of the spine with a computerized generator/battery pack in my lower back. They hook you up to a computer to program the device with your input telling them when the stimulation hits the right spot. It has a small controller that is smaller than a cell phone you carry to adjust the stimulation. You might check into it. Good luck from someone who is there.

Thanks. My issue is damaged discs from a 1988 auto accident. I was waiting to make a turn and a pizza delivery guy, playing with his radio instead of paying attention to the road, rear ended me at 35 mph. Things have not been the same since and are really getting bad as I age. Yes, I sued and won but money does nothing for the pain. Will mention your device to my doctor.
