Stop with the Nazi salute to our flag. It looks bad.

So, you like the flag better than the constitution?

The Generals this last week pointed out how Nazi-like Trump is.

Never doubt what one vote can do if there are many one-votes. Never doubt what one man can do if patient and determined. If seen in this post and approved by a dozen, then that dozen will tell friends who can tell their friends. If championed by for example, "American Football player Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for the national anthem at a game in protest against what he sees as racial injustice." then I ask you, Yhtomit, how long before a democratic congressperson introduces a bill. Yes, it would never pass this senate but when the democrats rule the congress, senate, and a Democrat president in the white house then it will.

Many of the trumpettes act like German citizens in the 30's following a pied piper, so that makes sense.

Those generals are traitors to their uniforms.
Krappernick, a mediocre quarterback, chose a misguided media stunt that destroyed his career.
Krappernick is not a role model or hero.
You have sided with the wrong one man.

Use your words. Playing song to convey your thoughts is open ended charades.

Stop trying to justify your racism

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how you jumped to racism! I have been reading (and laughing at) the attic for a long time. It never ceases to amaze me how a simple factual statement gets twisted into a personal attack. Seldom do the attackers have any cogent thoughts to convey, germane to the conversation. This is my second contribution to the attic, and while my skin is thick and my mind is open, I am not going to play in this neighborhood anymore.

I no longer am willing to pledge allegiance to our flag that has been soiled by Trump's hugs using it as a shield to hide behind. The pledge was composed by Captain Balch, a Union Army Officer during the Civil War. Balch composed the pledge in 1892. The flag proclaimed in the pledge of allegiance is the “flag of the Union” not the pro-slavery “flag of the Confederacy.” The pledge to the winning flag.

Although modified, the flag pledge continues the division and racial divide; Union vs Confederate. We are the "United" States; this is not a football game with racial team flags as in Charlottesville with people acting as though it were a my-side, your-side standoff. Trump has encouraged division and turmoil based on race, religion, and political affiliation; he is not a leader who unites. The enemy is a deceiver and will use any tactic he can. Our Constitution is under attack and must not be crushed by Trump and Barr.

The Civil War ended in 1865; it is time to stop fighting by taking sides with Union and Confederate flags dividing us; divide and conquer is the present threat to our nation. It is time to pledge allegiance to our cherished Constitution which proclaims our rights, obligation, and is the bulwark for democratic constitutional government stability.

The Military Oath I took, as do all the military on enlistment, is to defend the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic; domestic in the highest office is now a threat. Use the framework of the Flag Pledge substituting Constitution for the word flag; a logical change and not difficult. Do it, make the change to protect our Constitution which is under dictatorial siege by the Trump/Barr White House and their henchmen.

Henceforth: "I pledge allegiance to and will defend the United States Constitution and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
I no longer am willing to pledge allegiance to our... (show quote)

What do you know about the Constitution? I suspect nothing as Liberals only discover it when they are losing. What has Trump or Barr done that is unconstitutional? Answer that, inquiring minds want to know. Has Trump said, like Obama did, All I need is a pen and a phone to do an end run around the Constitution?

Trump was impeached for abuse of power. Trump has profited based on presidency.... recall having people stay at the Golf Course in Irland... His Washing DC hotel has been a cash cow.

It was a partisan impeachment. No mandate of justice in sight.
Your lying to your self.

It was an impeachment of principle. The house impeached him, knowing it was a loser in the senate, because his actions demanded it. Pure politics would have called for them to not impeach him.
