Telemarketers - They're Back!

One thing I noticed about isolation because of this virus is the lack of telemarketing calls. I have a call blocker, so my phone will ring once when a telemarketer calls. I was getting maybe one ring per week. Yesterday, I got about a dozen.

The phishing is faking out the blockers. I have received robo calls from the town hall, numbers in my area and even my own number. I do talk to myself, but not on the phone!

They are allowed to make calls. Kind of funny because those are some of the ones I really want blocked.

I am no longer answering my House or Mobil phone. I have them set to take a message. when I get a message from someone I know, I call them back. all the others do not leave a message.

We have great caller ID. Our land line is through AT&T. Whenever we get a call with an unrecognized number, it usually shows as "Unknown Caller". It's amazing the lengths these bozos go, to try and get through. Since our cable is through Uverse, we get caller ID on the TV screen; it does help.

I have a Call Blocker 10000 - works great.

You can program them to accept or reject certain numbers.
