The sky color and slightly rippled reflections add a lot to an an already fascinating location and subjects. I went to Ballard Locks awhile back, but didn't know about this place! Maybe next year...

Thank you for these outstanding photos and information on your processing.

When folks ask me where in Seattle to go for photo opportunities I always mention Fisherman's Terminal located within the Interbay Neighborhood of Seattle (near the Ballard Locks - another place worth seeing). These five shots will hopefully give you some idea why. Taken at sunset a couple days ago. It was cloudy but the sun peaked through just before it completely set. You can still freely wander around the entire terminal. There aren't any "no trespassing" signs and folks who live and/or work on the boats are very friendly. Shots taken with a Nikon D810 and a Tamron 24x70mm, f/2.8 lens. Let me know your thoughts. I read all the comments and answer all questions to the best of my ability.

Thank you very much Brent. For me anyway, shots at sunset take more PP work than most others I take. They were shot in RAW and primarily processed with Adobe Camera RAW (ACR). I used the brush to increase the dehaze, increased the shadows, and decreased the highlights to the cloudy sky and brushed in increased light (upped the exposure and whites) for the fishing boats and the water. So, in effect, I processed the cloudy sky separately from the boats and the water. I did some touch up work in Photoshop (added some saturation and cropped), but not much. Hope this makes sense. Thanks again for the kind comment.

Those scenes take me back to an earlier time in my life when the sea-life was exciting & new to me and my scuba gear was always at the ready . Those commercial fishing boats are so enchanting and your images are lovely. Thanks Saxman
