How generous to honor the warranty on a brand new vehicle.

The USB is not brand sensitive, if the circuit was overloaded the fuse would Have blown, if the fuse block was installed correctly it shouldn’t have been damaged. Replacing a fuse should not cost near as much as you were charged.
Inept repairmen is more likely the real problem. Or more probably the dealership is abusing the warranty to collect money from the manufacturer!

The issue is most likely that Jerry drove to the beach and had his dash cam aimed at something to hot for it to handle. If he was a nice guy he'd post some of those pictures!

I've had issues with my new vehicles in the passed. The first thing you want to do is ask to speak with a "regional factory" rep. Second, write a letter to Honda Corp. I've done both of these things in the passed and you'll be amazed how you will be treated the next time you go to that same dealer. In addition, they will bend over backwards to make you happy. They don't want the bad press, especially when auto sale are in the toilet. If you're not satisfied with the regional rep, ask to speak with His boss. Again the don't want the bad press on "mark" against them. It's worked for me more than once. Good luck.

Yep, the regional rep is the next step after the service manager (or the dealership owner). You can call or email them, but they often visit the dealership every week or two, and you can arrange a meeting with him and the service manager. I’ve had very good luck with that approach when necessary.

I brought my 2020 Honda Fit to the dealer today because the radio, LCD, and cameras stopped working. After investigating for two hours, they blamed it on my dash cam. He said the dash cam was plugged into the USB port intended for an Apple phone, and connecting the dash cam there burned out a fuse panel ($635). After more talking, he said they would submit it as a warranty claim. The dash cam has been in the car since it was new - March of this year.

That sounds like a 100% bogus diagnosis.
