I have been scuba diving for more than three decades and was a free diver before getting scuba certification. In nearly 2500 dives, I had never seen mating Chestnut cowries, Neobernaya spadicea until this week. I haven't found any other images on the internet of this mass reproduction event.
Wow. I've never seen that either. Was this on a night dive? I was certified in 1975. Approaching 3000 dives. I finally dove the Great Barrier Reef in 2017. One more checked of the bucket list. I really like your photos.
This was the last two days off Palos Verdes. Most of them were under rocks or in abandoned shells.
Great find. Thanks for posting.
