The first house was posted No Trespassing by the property owners, while the second house is perched on top of a hill. Although it was not posted, I decided not to trespass out of respect for the owners. So, this is about the best composition that could be had. In both photos, minimal post work was done to add depth to the houses and foreground and a polarizing filter for the skies. I also had to clone out numerous no trespassing signs stapled to the first house. Comments are welcome. Ken

It’s a crying shame they have been so neglected. Nice photos.

Excellent captures. But it's sad to see them.

Nice shooting. The first one I would like to see a wider perspective as well. Really wide. Show a lot of open space... in addition to the shot you showed.

I really like the second one. I’d crop a bit more from the bottom and then a bit from the left to remove that low mess at the edge of the house. Good shot though without my nit picking.

Wonderful! I especially like the second one sitting dramatically above us. It makes me want to time travel back to it's heyday and see the view from the windows.

Too bad they had to get to this state!

Very nice captures. Hard to understand how you can just walk away from your home. I suspect they would show well in B&W also
