Lovely. I have heard a lot about the area and would be fun to visit. If it were mine, I would try to do something with the con trails as well as the electrical wires going to the barn. Distracting to me.

Sometimes you simply have to shoot what you're given. Shooting positions was very limited as the barn sat on the edge of a hill with a sharp drop off to the street. In back of the barn was modern day harvesting equipment. Further away from the barn it was a gravel driveway.

The contrails could possibly be dealt with by using software, but my skills in that fashion really suck. Had I tried, my efforts would have clearly shown and ruined the entire photo.

Great shot. I’d lighten it up. A Black and White photo doesn’t need to be dark. The subject and comp are right on.

Both images (B&W and color) are good, Ken. Very enjoyable.
Are you sure the name spelling is correct?
I think Nancy would be happy to see her retreat immortilized? (LOL)

I really like the shot and what you've done, but I'm not seeing much sepia?

I kept the sepia tone very mild as I usually get carried away with adjustments

Excellent composition, Ken, but it looks too monochrome to be true sepia to me.

Yep. The toning was kept to a minimum as I generally get a bit carried away with adjustments.

Very nice b&w image. The sepia toning contributes to the mood created by the barn.

A very nice image and works well in B & W with Sepia toning. A possible suggestion would be to lighten the dark area of the barn roof just a 1/3 or a stop of so.
