My first post.
Taken from my balcony, no post processing. How can I improve it please?

Was this an intentional double exposure, or was it taken through a window? It is overexposed - too much light washes out the colors.
Thought that there was a challenge (first photo that you ever took) I had seen recently, maybe Gbown2500 was trying to post in that challenge?

Looks like a double exposure. One shot taken appears to be an image of many boats and looks underexposed, second shot of coast line and single boat on right side of image.
You can improve your shooting by stop double exposing, that would be your first step toward a quality image.
Not a double exposure. The marina was reflected in the glass of the balcony and the fishing boat was floating above the reflection when looking through the glass.

Interesting image. I do not know what Post Processing tools you have but I would increase the contrast in the sky and beach area.
Welcome to UHH.
Not sure if this improves it. Pretty much did as Stan suggested. Looks like a fishing boat thinking of all the ships "Lost at Sea".
Gbown2500, I read your explanation of a reflection with a shot of a single boat and that's actually what I thought it was when I saw it. I really like your idea. I agree with the comment above about a single boat with "lost boats." It is a bit spooky that way. I might darken the image a bit, as also suggested, to make the colors a little bolder. I would also play with angles and see if you can get the reflected boats to fill the empty water a little more. Work it. Definitely an idea to pursue! I haven't seen this before and I like the idea a lot. Well done!
Took me a minute, but the reflection of the Ghost Boats in the window sure make this an interesting image. Dis you see this when you took the photo?

I like the first photo - a lot. Adding darker colors removed the ethereal quality of the photo. The boats reflected in the water seem to want to rise above the water. The paler sky and washed out beach add to the quality. I would buy that photo if I saw it for sale. It tells a story.

“I would buy that photo if I saw it for sale”.
OK, after you bought it and owned it—what would you do with it?
Also, how much would you pay to do whatever with it?
What size is the photo? What type of paper is it printed on? I would frame it and hang it on a wall in my house. I have no idea what to pay but maybe $20.
