Nice sequence! I probably would not have come close to the focus I needed either. Keep that camera next to you at all times and if you have a long lens, use the tripod or monopod.

Thank you! The Osprey is so quite when flying. I was taking pics of a green heron on the shorline and turned around and saw him diving.
I have my camera with me 90% of the time! I don't like using a tripod, I always hand hold. I just cain't get used to it. I use a150-500 on D500
