Barn in Black and White

I agonized over this image in color - hated the sky, didn't like the contrasts, color tones all wonky, lighting all wrong, etc. So... rather than ditch the whole thing I gave it a shot in b&w and I think it turned out reasonably well. Barn and windmill near Kalispell, Montana on an overcast day.
EDIT NOTE: I have been informed that this is actually a sepia rendition. I am red/green color blind and that hampers me a bit, as I often don't see what others see in reddish and greenish tones... ** sigh **

First, I would change the title 'cause this is sepia 
There is something about reddish-brown clouds and skies that doesn't appeal to me. Love the rest, though.

Yes - I can understand why you agonised over this subject - which I think is exceptional. Your composition is a real winner. If it were my pic (which it isn't) I would want to do something with the sky and bring out the mountains a bit. If it's not too far from home I'd want to go back and do it again - and perhaps again - until the sky was less heavy. As I've said, that composition is a potential winner. I agree B&W woud be better than Sepia. I would also want to try subdued colours, and it is a picture that would be worth the effort.

This is one of the best sepia-themed images I've seen in a long time. However you arrived here, it's a masterpiece. Have you ever thought about adding a rough texture, lightly blended? It might give it an even more rustic look.

Great photo, Tommy. Love it in sepia and I'm sure I'd love it in B&W too because the scene a composition are outstanding. Sepia clouds don't bother me, because sepia is like laying a light brown filter over the B&W to get that period look that is appropriate for the scene. Outstanding!

Nice shot - mixed feelings on the sepia. Works, but wouldn't mind seeing a monochrome version.
I have read about eyeglasses that mitigate colorblindness - not cheap, but ...maybe worth a try.

It wouldn't be difficult to desaturate it entirely. Then the color blindness wouldn't matter.
