Hi,
This is my first posting although I’ve been a member for a while. All these photos were taken with a Nikon D5300 and the Nikor Lens 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR. I live in Sugar Land, TX. First 3 photos were taken in backyard and the balance in local parks. Comments are welcomed. Can anyone ID the snake and or bird?

Very nice first set.
Could you check (store original) when posting images? Allows us to see a full (?) version of the image.

Thanx for sharing.

Out of curiosity: how do you like that 18-300?

I am using the 18-300 more often than not. I like that I don't have to reach for another lens and make a change. I would find myself looking for a a "safe" place to swap out a lens. For landscapes this was not a big issue - just a pain. For wildlife and street shots, I was missing more shots than I was taking. I'm an ametuer, not a pro. I'm 74 and take pictures at family gatherings, vacations and early morning walks with my dog. The 18-300 allows me to compose and take a quick shot. I use LR 6.4 in post to dress up the photo. Hope that answers your question!

Sounds like we’re 2 peas from the sale pod. Same age, same frustrations, same direction for a solution- thank you.
