Hey all!

I've had my Canon EOS T6 for about a year and haven't really done much with it. I tend to have a short attention span after the shiny object novelty wears off of a new purchase. 😒 I'm hoping to break that habit. Besides, given where I live, I've got a gazillion opportunities for spectacular landscape shots practically in my backyard. Well, now that I think about it, my backyard is no slouch, either. Hoping to learn a lot from you folks!

Welcome aboard. You really do have a number of excellent photo areas to take advantage of, Horsetooth Reservoir, Poudre River, up Hwy. 285 to WY, downtown Fort Collins in the old section and so on. Of course there is also Long's Peak and Estes Park. I wish you good luck on your photographic journey.

Hi Joe,
You are pretty lucky. There are thousands of opportunities in this area. Most aren't at RMNP. Some are in the Fort Collins city limits. A lot in the Poudre Canyon and all the way to Wyoming. Just take some shots. You'll have hundreds of keepers and your friends will be awestruck.

I too am a native but I still live here, even after 73 yrs and some really quirky politics. Moved out three times, but the job opportunities were here. I have a cabin above FairPlay, go there as much as possible. Excellent areas for photos. You have the Zirkel Wilderness, lots of short hiking areas, Cameron Pass, etc. Get off the beaten paths. Don't be afraid to submit them here. Welcome!!
