Fuji X series 'file number full'

While out shooting with XT-30, error message 'file no full' appears on screen. The XT-30 was repaired recently and the folder number was set to 999 by Fuji. A thousand shots later and the shoot is over. Formatted another card, a few shots left, but the real problem is the folder 999 issue. The manual does not explain how to reset, Utube videos no help. Anyone know how to reset the folder back to 001 on XT-30, 20, and 10??

Look at this page of the Fuji manual. It suggests that using a new card or formatting (presumably in the camera) the card will reset the numbering.

You have to reset the counter. I’ve done it very simple, but I’ve forgotten. The easiest thing to do is to callFuji. I don’t know if they have service now. Here is their phone number. (800) 659-3854. Also here is the Fuji forum. You can get help there.

Yes, go to the Fuji Forum. That issue is addressed fully there. There is a setting that fixes your problem in one-click. Sorry I can't recall the details. It's a "known glitch".

I'll save you the trouble:

"You have to change the SETUP > SAVE DATA SET-UP > FRAME NO. menu setting from CONTINUOUS to RENEW. If it's set to RENEW, then the numbering will reset to 0001 when you format the card or use a new one."
