First of all, who is "phantom"? Look again at my name and confirm I am the one you want to direct your silly comments to.
If so, I am not "picking on people" but am commenting on these pedantic know it alls that claim to be so smart and informed and are defending an obviously flawed education system AND I am questioning why they cannot even spell if they are so educated. Pretty straightforward, I'd say. They are prime examples of the failure of the system they are so enamored of.

Back to the subject: As a math major, I can assure you that the ‘common core’ has nothing to do with arithmetic, which most modern students can do on a calculator {many calculators can even do logn for various values of n, including e}. As an MBA, I can assure you that arithmetic is enough to do bookkeeping. Most times, a CPA is ‘above’ bookeeping.
