I’d add anybody that at the end of their broadcast I didn’t know their political leaning.

I don't know their political leanings, either. But if they had one either way, they didn't show it or even hinted about it.

Edward R. Murrow (April 25 1908 - April 27, 1965), was one of journalism's greatest figures, for his honesty and integrity in delivering the news. A pioneer of radio and television news broadcasting, Murrow produced a series of reports on his television program See It Now which helped lead to the censure of Senator Joseph McCarthy.

Tim Russert (May 7, 1950 - June 13, 2008), appeared for more than 16 years as the longest-serving moderator of NBC's Meet the Press. He established himself as a tough but evenhanded interviewer, and, during his 17-year tenure as moderator, Meet the Press remained one of the most important outlets for political discourse in American media. Tim Russert's prediction on NBC News that the thrilling 2000 election would hinge on the state of Florida. (Saw his prediction live on TV on the eve of the election, Nov. 7, 2000 Bush v. Gore).

"Florida, Florida, Florida"

Those were the days when news reporters/journalists reported the real news and not make up or become part of the news.
