This is where I go, but it’s local for me so I can go and actually see and touch it. Perhaps they have something similar in your area.
I suggest doing an online search.

I guess no one here makes their own picture frames?

I make my own frames, but I do wildlife and landscape and I do all my frames in a rustic rough grained wood that I get at Lowes, I buy the "dog eared " fence boards and rip them to width on a table saw, rabbet the inside and miter the corners, assemble them and then paint brown or black with a 50/50 mix of flat latex and water.

If wood, put the terms into a search engine query (Google for example). You will get pages of info.

Wide variety of high-quality picture frame moldings and assembled frames- I have been dealing with them for over 20 years.

I appreciate doing it yourself and the satisfaction that comes with it. I don't want to spend the time and now after moving from a big house with workbench to an apt, 90% of my tools stayed behind. Michael's Framing does any size photo I give them. That's if they re-open after Covid-19.

For a rustic type, I use barn board I buy and I custom mill and build a frame style and size.
For the fine art and a clean look I buy from:

https://framingsupplies-shop.com/

They have a great selection and pricing for wood and aluminum framing.

I would guess not too many folks are into this unless they do quite a bit of framing. Personally, I purchase pre-made frames locally as needed. Best of luck.

The barn board frames are a very simple style and construction. Very easy to make. The wood texture is the featured attraction.
The aluminum and wood frames from Framing supplies, you can see their products on line. I don’t have any of those in the house.
The wood deletions are beautiful. The aluminum selection very nice too.

I always use a narrow simple frame. The reason is I don't want the frame to be the focal point. I want the picture to be the focal point. I use to build my own frames at a frame shop until the owner sold the business. The owner taught me a lot about framing and matting and how to keep the picture the focal point.
