Are the prints available, and from whom? One would think so given the number of parts made new.

These are sweet to see. The attention to details in the wings and engine mounting demonstrate how complex this plane actually is and I have a new appreciation for it even more-so after seeing it's restoration and assembly. I like how they displayed those wings for the visiting public to enjoy while they were progressing with the main carriage of the craft. Well done and thoughtfully presented.

Nice photos. That’s some project, and looking good.

Saw 2 in a section takeoff at Oshkosh years back. Unfortunately they had a wingtip to horizontal stabalizer contact during takeoff roll. One of them rolled up in a ball of flame. Surprisingly, the pilot survived. Was a scary moment since he ran off the runway on the far side directly opposite where we were sitting. Had he run off our side, it would have been a real mess.

Somebody somewhere may have a registry but there are more than two. There were eight flying at the Chino air show one year ago (cancelled for 2020) and they were in beautiful shape. Side fact - the Corsairs were nicknamed "the ensign killers" because of the difficulty in landing on a carrier with the nose high attitude, you had to crab down to look over the wing and straighten out at the last minute to grab the hook.

This article is from Wikipedia. It lists all of the Corsairs that are in existance today that are either airworthy, on display, or under restoration. According to the note at the end of the article, it was lasted edited on 7 May 2020.

Ron, excellent witch is not a surprise. I wish I could fly down there and see this rehab live but your photos are doing it for me. I would love to shake your hand in give that wife of yours a big hug. Stay safe my friend.

Someone recently told me there are only 2 Corsairs in existence and only one is airworthy. That seemed unbelievable to me. What are the facts?

One flying is at Greenwood, MS (KGWO) (at least was as of last fall).. This was taken by me at KTVR airshow.

I must have built a dozen of the models when I was a kid... Loved the gull wings...
