Backstage of a local theater with a great model. My first post in this category, figured might as well get the first post over with and move on from there.
Well if this is your first post I look forward to many more great pictures. I like the blue tint to the picture and if it is not blue I just like the colors in your pic, it adds to the mood of your photo.
Yea, I turned it BW and then I turned it Blue, no idea why, just sorta finished up that way.
Welcome to UHH and an interesting ice breaker photo. I like the blue tint conversion - looks very artsy. I do find the large deep shadow on the throat & breastplate a little distracting. Looking forward to your work.
I sorta agree with you Stardust, and I played a little with it in the past, but never worked out right and honestly the lighting/overall look is meant to be pretty severe so in the end I just went with it. Now that line down her left hip, that bugs me!

Because the spot light over her head makes the photo, the shadowing & lines are fine in my opinion. I just meant you can usually use a "bring out shadow" type of tool to give some texture on the throat area vs just a solid void.
Played around with it, lightening up a few areas and a few other tweeks. Subtle but maybe a bit of an improvement. Thanks for the feedback Stardust.
Good tweak; there's more body grain, the neck is still a bit "gapped out" but ok, and it's really fine. Most importantly, the first shot, especially as your maiden voyage here on UHH (the Hog) is outstanding. I actually like the first one better. She's an excellent model, really "sells" the scene. Shoot her more, post more shots, put her in stilettos and let her pose! Love the "Ektachrome blue".
Beautifully done. The composition and exposure are fabulous. It would be a great cover for a Marquis de Sade novel. Thanks for sharing it.
Nice model, nice work. The blue gives an indication that the blue gels were on at the stage.
I am getting old, I was focused on the math on the blackboard behind the steel structure. Only noted the beautifully engineered and well-padded woman later... [wanna bet?]
