This is a rare and extremely high quality loupe by Kenko Optical-Japan designed specifically for Long Eye Relief (LER) use. Precision machined magnesium body and optical coated glass are exceptionally clean, no scratches or chips. To the best of my knowledge this loupe is no longer produced.
Many special hunting rifle scopes and binoculars are designed for eyeglass wearers because the LER feature allows for a comfortable, full field of view from a distance of 6 inches and beyond.
Great for photographers who wear glasses. With 8x magnification, this LER loupe will allow you to wear your eyeglasses and see the entire field of view starting at 6 inches. A standard loupe will give you a much reduced field of view sometimes less than half of the available field when you use your eyeglasses.
The loupe diameter measures 2.3/8" and is approximately 3” high. Distance from the loupe to the subject can be adjusted to increase the magnification by rotating the adjustable acrylic base. The lock ring can be set at the selected magnification point. The transparent 360 degree clear acrylic base permits ambient light to illuminate the subject for bright and clear viewing.
