My Levi's from the year 2000 have a thoroughly ripped right knee, and they're stained with paint and grease. My other pair, from a few years after that, are showing their age. Last night, I ordered two pairs from Amazon for $22.00 each. An ad on Google showed me these lady's jeans for $98, and others cost up to $250. I wonder how long they will last.
Back in my grade school days worn out jeans only meant one thing; your folks was dirt poor.
I refuse to pay more than $4.50 for a pair of jeans. I bought two pairs of LLBean jeans at a Goodwill. I also bought two pairs of Levis at a yard sale for $2.00 each. It's all about WHERE you shop.
By the way, I am a female.

When they’re made from DISTRESSED DENIM the price goes up. Only women wear it with knees poking out.
Women’s hair cuts are twice the guys too. Unless you want a work of art.

Why would anyone, man or women, spend $98.00 for a pair of Levies?
Because their idiots and the price is only pandering to their egos. I was always a Lee or Wrangler buyer. Liked their fit better than Levi's. It never ceases to amaze me what people are willing to shell out for "fashion" and then they turn around and complain about a price hike in milk.

I was thinking the same thing the other day as I was walking to the garage and trying to decide whether to drive one of the Jags or the Mini.

Looks like she has water in the basement.

I guess i don't try to keep in step with the latest fashion but buying jeans with rips at the knees, on purpose, and at three times the price you'd pay for regular jeans that are not ripped?
The ripping process is one of the more difficult and expensive tasks in the manufacturing process of these ripped jeans. It takes years of experience to become a good ripper

Lucky you! Last pair I bought was when visiting your side. Just looked a respected store to find their LEVI range was between £60-67 - all at 30% off. That price is the discounted price.
She's not wearing her jeans high, she's wearing her shoes low.
I don’t like Levis and their shallow pockets. I’ll take Wranglers and Lees any day.

I know I'm an old man but I've never understood the mentality of buying new clothing with rips in them.
If I'm spending my hard earned cash I want something without holes. I'll wear them out myself.

Maybe you’re just leasing them?
WHY on God's green earth, would ANYONE in their right mind want jeans with holes ripped in them? If I had a pair with holes ripped in them, they'd go in the trash can.
Makes me wonder what stupid things the NEXT generation will be wearing.
(Sorry for the rant, just my opinion.)
